With a little help from my buddy, I wanted to make sure that everyone knew that the Online Book Club will be reading “Mad Church Disease” by Anne Jackson this month. Of course you know the Book Club isn’t really a club at all and is open to anyone at any time.
There is still time [...]

5. They have the best commercials … by far. We actually will stop our Tivo to watch a new Mac commercial that we haven’t seen before.
4. You can wash your iPhone and it will miraculous come back to life days later … much like Lazarus.
3. You can watch your laptop fall from a bar-high table and hit [...]
The Great News and the Delay

Here’s the great news: The geniuses at the Mac Store totally brought my computer back to life! Amazing. I thought for sure it was dead.
The delay: When the laptop fell, it landed on the CD Drive … It got screwed up. But they are going to be able to replace it.
Here is where the [...]
Help from the Genius

Yesterday my computer fell off the table. After recovering from a near heart attack, I was thrilled to discover it worked.
Then in a moment of pure boredom during last night’s hideous Idol, I flipped it open to find out … It isn’t working anymore! OH NO!
So today I’m heading to the genius bar, [...]
Only In Vegas

Last week I took the kids to the mall to get their picture made with Santa. We don’t have the best track record with Ethan and Santa pictures. All was well his first Christmas since he was only 2 months old. Then things went down hill. That was followed by the year of crying. Then [...]
What’s Your Flavor … Xmas Trees

We’re fake tree people around here. Not just one fake tree … but 5 fake trees.

Last week Tammy, made a little comment around here that got me thinking. After hearing the Deadly Viper Guys speak at Catalyst, she was wanting to talk to their wives. Apparently she had lots of questions. And since I am one of those wives, I can easily accommodate that.
But it also got me thinking … What [...]
Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

Yesterday the kids and I drove across town to our Summerlin campus to see a little of the cold, white, wet stuff that we rarely see around here. We didn’t last very long since we aren’t used to that crazy cold. We drove over an hour round trip. Was it worth it? Look at those [...]
What’s Your Flavor … Music

I’m just curious, what are your top three most listened to albums/artists? What are you listening to most on you ipod, in your car, or on your computer? Christmas music doesn’t count … you know how I feel about that.
Here is mine: 1. The Twilight sound track … so good and haunting. I really like [...]
Stand at the Door

This is one of our all-time favorite poems. I just included the first and last verses, but it is so wonderful. It perfectly captures why we do what we do.
I Stand by the Door
by Sam Shoemaker
I stand by the door.
I neither go too far in, nor stay too far out,
The door is the most important [...]
